The O.G. THPS 1 + 2 Experience, Presented in 4K With New Features

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 returns classic levels, pro skaters, and tricks alongside new skaters, customization features, and much more, all brought to life in detailed 4K*.

Skate your dream park at vintage spots first discovered in 1999 and 2000, including the Warehouse, Downhill Jam, School II and the Bullring, or craft a dream skatepark with Create-a-Park, totally revamped from ramp to rail.

Here, expect to find a robust editor that allows for park customization like never before, such as Smart Pieces that can be molded and twisted in insane ways. Customize your own parks and share them with friends, or download “Remixable” parks on the public Park Browser to then mold into your own skating paradise.**

Carve up these parks with your own custom skater through Create-a-Skater, or as skateboarding’s current stars like Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O’Neill, Riley Hawk and Tyshawn Jones.

The O.G. skating legends are all here too – that includes Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, Kareem Campbell, Jamie Thomas and Bob Burnquist.

Like this mix of old and new school skaters, the game’s soundtrack stacks nostalgia packed THPS 1 + 2 anthems on top of three dozen new hits from around the world and across multiple decades.

Listen to it as you conquer each skate park through Tours, a reimagined Career mode with a few extra objectives and surprises on top of the original goals and competitions.

Other experiences include additional single-player modes, such as Single Session and Free Skate, and the franchise’s signature Multiplayer mode, featuring a new competitive and fun online system complete with curated playlists and ranked leaderboards.

Multiplayer – Jams and Competitive Playlists, Classic Game Modes, and Additional Features to Come This Fall

Outside of local couch play, you can hop online to skate alongside – and against – up to seven other players on a curated set of skate parks. Play online game modes, including Score and Combo Challenges, time-based Trick Attacks and Combo Mambos, the change-of-pace Graffiti mode, with even more modes available in local couch play. Before every mode-based session, skaters will get the opportunity to get some Free Skate practice in, just to ensure those trucks are on tight before the competition begins.

These online sessions live within two Quick Playlists:

In Competitive, only the best skater will win each session. If you top this playlist’s leaderboard, consider yourself one of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 community’s Greatest of All Time.

Jams, the casual counterpart playlist to Competitive, also has its own leaderboard, but here, the top-four skaters will be counted as winners for each session. This chill playlist is where skaters can warm up for Competitive matches, or just hang with friends at a few skate parks and play a few casual games.

If your crew wants to skate together, take advantage of the game’s party feature, where friends can join up and skate together within public playlists. Later this fall, look out for an update that will include additional, more private and personal party features, including private skate sessions, party migration, and leader promotion.

Meanwhile, at the Warehouse…

To celebrate the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, the game’s iconic Warehouse level was re-created in real life, so Tony could skate this famed virtual spot in the real world.

The result was, in a word, epic.

Trust us on this, you won’t want to miss it.

See Tony shred in the physical re-creation of this virtual industrial paradise here.

Then, be on the lookout over the coming days for a video on the Vans social channels, who were on-site to capture behind-the-scenes footage.
