With the leap from the previous generation of consoles to the latest hardware, players gain an incredible array of new social features, stunning graphics, and more. However, we’re aware that the console transition can raise questions about whether to grab a game at release and start playing immediately or wait until you’ve decided to upgrade hardware — so we want to make it easy. For a limited time, if you buy a digital version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the previous generation of consoles, you'll be able to upgrade to the current-gen version for free.
If you pick up Advanced Warfare digitally for your last-gen console anytime from the game’s debut on November 4 (or November 3 for Day Zero Edition owners) until March 31, 2015, you'll be able to download a current-gen copy of the game within the same console family, free of charge. Best of all, any XP, stats, or gear you accrue in mulitplayer on the previous generation version will carry over to current-gen, so you don’t have to worry about losing any rare Supply Drop gear or your coveted K/D. The same goes for any DLC and your Season Pass — it will all be there waiting for you, whenever you decide to upgrade.
