Learn More About the Black Market in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Get up to speed on the Black Market and the awesome items you can earn.

In Black Ops 3 multiplayer, you can choose from nine elite Specialists, each with their own unique weapons, abilities, and personalities. However, self-expression remains an essential component of the Call of Duty experience. From customization tools like the Weapon Paint Shop*, Gunsmith, and Emblem Editor to personalization items like Calling Cards, weapon camos, character gear, and taunts—there’s no shortage of ways to leave your mark in Black Ops 3 multiplayer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Best of all, you can unlock a wealth of new items over time, just by playing the game. Of course, as fans have come to expect, camos, Calling Cards, and other items can be earned by completing in-game Challenges, but with Black Ops 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Treyarch has introduced a new way to secure items to make you stand out in the crowd.

At the core of the Black Market are Cryptokeys—a new in-game currency that you can earn just by playing multiplayer. As you play and your collection of Cryptokeys grows, you can venture into the Black Market within the Public Match menu in multiplayer. Here you’ll be greeted by a mysterious vendor who trades collections of in-game items, known as Supply Drops, for cold, hard Cryptokeys.  Supply Drops come in two flavors: Common and Rare. For 10 Cryptokeys, you can acquire a Common Supply Drop, which include three in-game items with a chance for a Rare item or better. Opting for a Rare Supply Drop for 30 Cryptokeys guarantees that you’ll receive at least one Rare item and a chance at Legendary or Epic items.

Supply Drops offer exclusive sets of rewards for multiplayer, including taunts, camos, unique calling cards, and more. So stock up on Cryptokeys and go on a Black Market shopping spree.
