The Odd Gentlemen discuss art direction in a new behind-the-scenes video.

For developers The Odd Gentlemen, King’s Quest is more than a modern reimagining of the classic adventure game series—it’s a tribute to it. From the cast of new and returning characters, to its retelling Graham’s original adventures, and new exploration and puzzle-based gameplay, King’s Quest draws inspiration from the original games to craft its own unique experience. To create the new world of King’s Quest, the team created a hand-painted art style to model environments and characters with. In a new trailer released today, Sierra and The Odd Gentlemen provide a rare look at how the characters and environments in King’s Quest came to life. Check it out:
