Nintendo and Activision team up to bring the two iconic characters to Skylands.

Some familiar faces are coming to Skylands. This September, we’re teaming up with Nintendo to bring two of their most iconic characters, Donkey Kong and Bowser, to Skylanders SuperChargers. Revealed today at Nintendo’s Digital Event at E3, Donkey Kong and Bowser are set to appear as Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser as the first-ever guest stars in Skylanders history. Exclusive to Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Packs for Nintendo platforms, both characters will have their own unique toys, special attacks, and custom-designed vehicles.

From Turbo Charge Donkey Kong’s barrel throwing and exploding bongos to Hammer Slam Bowser’s fire breathing and ability to summon Warp Pipes—each character and their attacks have been designed to reflect their distinctive identities and history. What’s more, the Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser toys can be played in select amiibo-compatible games. Swap between Skylanders and amiibo modes on the fly with a simple twist of the Turbo Charge Donkey Kong or Hammer Slam Bowser toys’ base.

Fans attending E3 this week can come check out Skylanders SuperChargers and see Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser in action at both Activision and Nintendo’s booths.
