Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Is Now Available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Get ready with a new launch trailer.

Christmas is coming early for anyone who enjoys some good old fashioned sword and shield combat. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is making its castle-crashing debut on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and it’s arriving with a bevy of mouth-watering extras. Chivalry may be set in the Middle Ages, but the folks at Torn Banner Studios and Hardsuit Labs have created a game that puts the new-gen consoles’ hardware to good use, delivering a brutal melee experience. Check out the launch trailer:

Just like Chivalry’s PC edition, the multiplayer mode on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is supported by dedicated servers. This gives Chivalry the horsepower needed for gigantic, 24-player battles, filled with the maces, swords, shields, hatchets, axes, longbows, and dozens of other death-dealing devices.

Console owners will also experience Chivalry’s Horde Mode, an option that was unavailable on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Up to six co-op players will join forces to hold off wave after wave of medieval monsters. How many rounds can you survive?

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare comes in two flavors. The first, which is available for $19.99 MSRP, includes everything we’ve discussed so far. The Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Ultimate Edition, however, comes with four DLC packs: the Barbarian Character Pack, the Marauding Arbiter Pack, the Inquisitive Dreadnaught Bundle and the Barbarian Weapon Pack. And it’ll only cost you $29.99 MSRP.

Both versions are available now on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 storefronts. And don’t forget to follow @Activision and @TornBanner on Twitter for more Chivalry: Medieval Warfare news.

See you on the battlefield.
