The Lead: Modern Warfare®

Happy New Year to the Call of Duty of community! 

The New Year brings more ways to play starting with the return of Gun Game, the introduction of 1v1 Gunfight, and an updated 24/7 playlist: 5v5 Shipment.

Master a roster of weapons in this frantic Free-For-All mode. Gun Game returns and now you can play with both the Holger and the RAM-7 on your road to victory in this mode. Remember don’t get melee-d or you’ll be knocked back a weapon! Gun Game will be available for a limited time as one of this week’s featured playlists. 

A duel of player versus players arrives to Gunfight. Challenge a friend or Call of Duty community member to a 1v1 battle. All Gunfight rules apply (including the overtime flag and associated rules) and this new playlist will not replace standard 2v2 Gunfight. 

Need to rank up? Infinity Ward is activating Double XP on January 10 at 10 AM PT until January 13 at 10AM PT. Get out there and climb those ranks, and complete missions and challenges. 

Call of Duty®: Mobile

Prop Hunt is now live on Standoff on Crash. Live out your Call of Duty wish and play as a prop on this wacky game mode of hide and seek. Prop Hunt is only available for a limited time, so jump into a match now!

There’s a new Scorestreak available this week for Multiplayer players: The MQ-27 Dragonfire. The scorestreak is a combat drone that was first in Call of Duty®: Black Ops II.  Play a few matches and complete a list of challenges like winning matches, getting kills and more to earn the streak. 

Something’s up in Battle Royale… literally. Fresh off the Holiday themed events, Battle Royale welcomes the limited time mode Snipers only. Sniper rifles and pistols are the only primary weapons available in this mode, so make the most of both of them. The game last only ten minutes and there are loot airdrops during the match which contain the Arctic .50 sniper.  

Around the Franchise: Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4

Kick off the first full week of the New Year with Double XP Endurance Chaos Moshpit. Play longer matches in Endurance modes to earn more progress toward Contraband Tiers and Reserve Cases that you can trade into get your favorite goods. 

Here’s a look at this week’s playlist starting on January 7:

·     Multiplayer – 2XP Endurance Chaos Moshpit, Nuketown, Barebones Moshpit, Bolt-Action Barebones Moshpit, Mercenary Deathmatch Moshpit

·     Blackout – Hot and Heavy (Hot Pursuit and Heavy Metal Heroes), Alcatraz Portals Quads, Quads, Duos, Solos

·     Zombies – Dead of the Night
