Fans have been hungry to know what’s in store for Skylanders this year, and now, I’m happy to announce that the wait is over. The next entry in the Skylanders series is coming this September and it’s called Skylanders SuperChargers. This year, the developers at Vicarious Visions is taking Skylanders’ beloved toys-to-life experience and extending it to a completely new category of toys and gameplay with the introduction of vehicles.

In addition to the on-foot exploration, battling, puzzles, and platforming players have come to expect, Skylanders SuperChargers lets players take to the land, sky, and sea more than 15 diverse vehicles, ranging from race cars to jets to submarines and plenty more in between. Vehicles not only add new ways to traverse the world, but new high-speed combat and completely new types of environments. While Skylanders SuperChargers lets you play as any of more than 300 existing Skylanders characters and toys, it also introduces more than 15 new and revamped heroes that can be paired with their own signature vehicle.

Skylanders SuperChargers is launching on September 20 in North America for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, and iPad. It’ll launch in Asia Pacific and European markets on September 24 and September 25, respectively. Lastly, there’ll also be a unique Skylanders SuperChargers experience coming to Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS, as well—so stay tuned for updates.
