The Lead: Modern Warfare®

Fresh off new maps and Special Ops experiences in the latest update to Season One, the Holidays from Modern Warfare continue with an epic new limited time Gunfight game mode – Snowfight and the debut of Drop Zone for standard Multiplayer. Both new modes will be available on December 24 at 10AM PT until December 31 at 10AM PT.

In celebration of the Holidays, global Double XP and Double Tier earn rate will be active on December 24 at 10 AM PT! Raise your rank and accelerate your tier progression during this event until December 27 at 10AM PT. Following this, there will be a tier sale for those looking to make even further progress on the Battle Pass. 

Available on the Holiday-themed map Winter Docks, grab a partner and enjoy a classic snowball fight in this new game mode, Snowfight. Players will have only snowballs instead of weapons to eliminate their opponents.

Drop Zone comes to Modern Warfare with its distinct objective play that rewards players even more than standard game modes for playing the objective. The only way to earn Killstreaks is by continually holding the drop zone to have a Care Package delivered to your location.

Alongside, the Nikto Operator Bundle which launched last week there’s another new Featured Bundle coming to the Store: the ‘Mad Chemist’. 

The ‘Mad Chemist’ ups Krueger’s already menacing look with a gas mask ready for an experiment gone wrong. The bundle includes the ‘Final Countdown’ watch, two tier skips, the ‘Moral Argument’ weapon blueprint, a Legendary handgun weapon blueprint the ‘Volatile’ and more. Go to the Store to see all the goods available this week. 

For those that haven’t picked up the Battle Pass or the Battle Pass Bundle take a look at your progression on the stream, particularly after the boost from the three days of Double Tier earn rate. You may have Call of Duty Points (CP) that have yet to be unlocked in the Battle Pass. Picking up the Battle Pass or Battle Pass Bundle will instantly unlock a host of items and Operator challenges along with the opportunity to earn 1300 CP should you complete the stream.

The following is a summary of recent Patch Notes. Updates are from 12/18/19

General:

·      Fix for a bug where players were unable to swap Field Upgrades after selecting Field upgrade Pro

·      Added a new menu that allows players to launch a specific Trial

·      Friend Request & Party Invite Notifications options will be set to enabled by default. Players can disable that option through the Account tab of the Options menu

·      Fixed an issue where Care Packages could fall through the roof of various buildings in Port

Audio

·      Footsteps: reduced audible range of 3^rd person footsteps

·      Increased occlusion on footsteps

·      Adjusted various foley sounds that played at a larger range than footsteps during ADS/crouch movements

Special Ops

·      Added the reward players could earn if completing an Operation within the playlist menu

·      Fix for rank up UI splashes not working as intended

Call of Duty League

·      Adjustment to spawns for Hardpoint

·      Reduced lethality of non-car explosives

Call of Duty®: Mobile

Enjoy more of the season with a Holiday version of Prop Hunt on the wintry re-skinned map, Winter Raid. 

Prop Hunt will have players literally chasing down presents in a wicked game of hide and seek, available starting on December 20 until December 31 on Winter Raid. Standard Prop Hunt will make its way to Standoff and Crash on December 31.

A new Battle Royale class: Trickster is available for players to earn this week until December 29. Trickster is a class that enlist the work of mind games to confuse your opponent. You’ll be able to project two holograms of yourself to disorient the enemy on your actual location. Complete a series of tasks and challenges in Battle Royale to earn the Trickster class, then give it a try in a match.

Available in the Holiday Draw this week is the AK117 assault rifle. When firing on an enemy with this weapon, they will turn to ice and shatter upon their demise.  Also in the draw is the festive Snowman Grenade and the decorative Garden Gnomad.

You can also get even more goods this week through crates: the Razorback Dark Matter crate, the DLQ33 Holidays Crate, and even a vehicle crate. 

Around the Franchise: Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4

The two-week long Quad Feed continues this week in celebration of the Holidays. The Quad Feed will be active until January 2, and it gives the following rewards:

·      2XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, and League Play

·      2X Weapon XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, and League Play

·      2X Merits in Blackout

·      2X Nebulium Plasma in Zombies

Plus, there is a Tungsten Tripler offer in the Zombies Laboratory through January 2 as well. Here’s a look at this week’s Quadfeed Holiday playlists starting on December 24:

·      Multiplayer – Half-Off Heist, Nuketown, Barebones Moshpit, Bolt-Action Barebones Moshpit, Mercenary Deathmatch Moshpit

·      Blackout – Hot and Heavy (Hot Pursuit and Heavy Metal Heroes), Alcatraz Portals Quads, Quads, Duos, Solos
