Ready to fight in the lap of luxury? Call of Duty: Mobile’s Multiplayer map options includes Raid, an elegant futuristic mansion with a variety of engagement opportunities. Read on to read our tips for this Black Ops series classic locale that lives in the palm of your hand.

Soak up the sun (or currently, the snow) on Raid, a luxurious hillside mansion turned battleground for Call of Duty: Mobile’s Multiplayer mode.

What usually is a mainstay for lavish pool parties and sport car showcases is now a wintry battleground where either the Guerilla Squad or Special Forces completely eliminate the opposition.

Here’s our breakdown of this classic map and its festive re-skin Winter Raid that will now live in the palm of your hand:

Lay of the Land

This map originally appeared in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 but is also part of the Blackout map in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 and saw a reimagined version – Empire – as part of Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3.

To any celebrity who wants to live it up after signing a major movie deal or mega-CEO in need of a summer home, Raid has it all.

An open-concept design accentuated with modern art structures, this anything-but-humble abode features a basketball court, pool and hot tub, pool bar, courtyard, circular driveway, a massive showcase garage, and a guest house on top of a few bedrooms and bathrooms across multiple buildings.

In team game modes, one team will spawn in the garage on the east side of the map, and the other will spawn in the garden on the map’s western border.

The map can be split up into three distinct lanes: the circular driveway and art sculpture on the top lane, the courtyard in the middle, and the pool and hot tub on the bottom.

Boot Camp: Basic Tips

Raid’s open concept is conducive to a wide range of engagement opportunities, from tight close-range combat inside the rooms of the mega-estate to long-range shootouts across the complex.

A good rule of thumb is that the open spaces on the map – i.e. down the pool deck or within the parking circle – welcome sharpshooters who have the high ground to watch over these areas. Unless you are willing to fight back with your own longshots, stay close to the walls and use cover frequently.

Those who have close-quarters builds may find them advantageous in both spawn areas or within the individual rooms on Raid. Although they are big enough to warrant the multimillion-dollar price tag for this estate, they are still small enough to where two soldiers in the same room could be at an arm’s length.

Top-10 Tips

10. Need to understand Raid in simplest terms? Cut the map into thirds with the pool as the bottom lane, the courtyard in the middle, and the parking circle/art sculpture as the top lane.

9. Avoid open spaces on Raid, such as in the top route’s parking circle, if you are not ready to potentially deal with enemies set up on long sightlines.

8. Those looking for close-quarters fights can either use cover in the individual lanes to force out sharpshooters, or bring the action into the various rooms around the complex.

7. Be advised that the central lane has two long sightlines that nearly span from one spawn area to the other. Prepare for potential long-range shootouts here, or take up your own position in these lanes and lock in those sightlines.

6. When using the other two lanes as flank routes, don’t be afraid to hug close to the map’s boundaries, which offer potentially sneaky ways to get across the map.

5. The middle of Raid can be a great place to drop Scorestreaks, as they are often heavily trafficked areas.

4. In using Ground Scorestreaks, such as a Sentry Gun, consider facing it down a lane in a potential power position, such as one of the windows of the top lane’s guest house or bottom lane’s poolside suite.

3. Raid has multiple places to hide from Scorestreaks, but they all boil down to different sections of the estate’s interior.

2. Struggling to break an opponent’s defenses in objective game modes? Try avoiding the North lane and flank through the middle or Southern lanes of the map.

1. Our most important tip, as always and for every map in Call of Duty: Mobile, is to have fun!
