Skylanders Battlecast Now Available

An all-new free-to-play card battle experience arrives for smartphone and tablet devices.

Today, Skylanders Battlecast arrives for smartphones and tablets around the world. Revealed last year, Battlecast introduces an all-new way to experience Skylanders through strategic card battle combat on mobile devices. Fans can build decks both in-game or with through collectible cards, bring iconic Skylanders to life through augmented reality, and play a variety of game modes, including a singleplayer campaign and online PvP.

To play, all you have to do is download the app on a supported Android, iOS, or Amazon Kindle device and start honing your skills as a battle card master. Once installed, you can build decks and teams of your favorite heroes to save Skylands in a new singleplayer adventure or engage in a little friendly competition with other players or with those on your friends list. In addition to the core singleplayer and casual PvP modes, Battlecast also lets players scan a card using the camera on select mobile devices to bring a character to life through augmented reality.

As you play, you can build and upgrade your collection with Booster and Battle Packs. Available digitally in-game or through physical card packs at local retailers, Battle and Booster Packs include:

  • Battle Packs – Two versions will be available that each contains 22 cards, including three specific character cards.
  • Booster Pack – The eight cards in the Booster Pack will give players a random selection of Character Cards, Spell Cards, Gear Cards, Relic Cards and a chance to collect rare gold and silver foil variants.

There are up to 300 Character, Spell, Gear, and Relic cards to collect, including distinctive foil variants. For those that enjoy collecting physical cards, any card obtained through Battle and Booster Packs can be added to their in-game digital spell book by scanning them with their device’s built-in camera.

Skylanders Battlecast will be available via the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore. Skylanders Battlecast Battle Packs featuring 22 cards will be available for the suggested retail price of $9.99 and the Skylanders Booster Packs, which will include a random selection of eight cards, will retail for the suggested price of $4.99.
