Adventure through Skylands wherever and whenever you are with the new tablet version of Skylanders Trap Team.

Skylanders, the series that pioneered the toys-to-life genre, will launch a new way to play this fall: on tablet devices. Introduced today at Gamescom, Skylanders Trap Team tablet brings the complete console experience to iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices — controller, Traptanium portal, and all.

The game offers all of the content and features found in the console version, including 50 new playable heroes and more than 40 villains spanning a story-driven campaign and a variety of puzzles, mini games, and other activities. And, of course, all 175 existing Skylanders characters and toys will be playable, as well. The tablet version of Skylanders Trap Team uses a universal Bluetooth portal and controller designed specially for tablets, while also supporting touchscreen controls. The portal features a built-in tablet stand and pairs wirelessly with your device and the custom-designed controller offers the full range of controls, like dual analog thumbsticks, a d-pad, and more.

Fans can check out the game via their device's respective app store or pick up the Skylanders Trap Team Tablet Starter Pack, which includes the Traptanium Portal, Bluetooth controller, two Skyalnders characters, and two traps.Skylanders Trap Team tablet is playable on broad range of devices, including the iPad (3rd generation or later), iPad Air, iPad Mini with Retina Display, Google's Nexus 7 (2013), Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro (8.4" – 12.2" versions), Galaxy Tab S (8.4" and 10.5"), the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and Kindle Fire HDX (7" and 8.9")

 

Most importantly, Skylanders Trap Team will be available on tablets day-and-date with the console version when it launches on October 5th in North America, October 10th in Europe, and October 2nd in Australia. The tablet starter pack will be priced at $74.99, while individual character and trap toys will range from $5.99 to $14.99.
