Activision E3 and Weekly Wrap-Up for June 14

New Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® knowledge, Call of Duty®: Mobile questions answered, Crash™ invades E3, Spyro™ reignites the Nintendo Switch and PC, and more!

Welcome to the weekly wrap-up for June 14, 2019; where we look back at the biggest Activision stories of the last seven days. This year’s E3 show dominated proceedings this week; here’s what Activision was up to at the show:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update

It was a banner week for Modern Warfare®, with Infinity Ward developers livestreaming to a number of media outlets, as well as revealing some brand new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare screenshots! In case you’ve not seen them yet, here are the two in-game multiplayer images:

The first image shows a sniper in the undergrowth.

The second image shows the return of the Juggernaut!

Call of Duty®: Mobile Update

With the first region Beta test starting in Australia, and more territories coming online in the months to come, we asked the Call of Duty®: Mobile team about how the game is shaping up. The Q&A with Chris Plummer, VP of Mobile at Activision, has a lot of new information to impart, as well as some additional new screenshots.

Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Update

As well as gathering all the information you needed regarding when Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled development personnel would appear in the media, we were also fortunate enough to have Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head at Beenox, tell us all about the upcoming post-launch content for the game; read all about the bonus seasonal Grand Prix content for everyone who purchases the game.

If you were at the show, you might have spotted Crash himself, as he turned up at E3 for a variety of hijinks and tomfoolery! Here’s what he got up to:

He was welcoming gamers at the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled booth.

He crashed an interview with Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head at Beenox.

He was carting disaster in his own CTR vehicle.

He was providing hot takes during a livestream.

He was also eying up rival gaming mascots before an escalation of mischief.

Spyro™ the Dragon Update

Rekindle the fire! Spyro™ is back! Arriving on September 3 for Nintendo Switch and PC, remastered versions of Spyro™ the Dragon, Spyro™ 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro™ Year of the Dragon – the Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy – is  coming to new platforms in 2019.

Activision Games Blog: Additional Content

In case you missed the other stories on the Blog, we revealed more free Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 goods to grab via Twitch Prime, explored the entire Blackout map of Alcatraz, had a run-down of the multiplayer map Grind, received some pointers on Sniping from CWL Pro Brandon “Dashy” Otell, and previewed the CWL Anaheim event going on this weekend. Phew; what a week!
