The Lead: Modern Warfare®

Last week, Modern Warfare introduced the first of many content releases set to occur throughout Season One to bring something new to the Call of Duty community on a regular basis. The first week of Season One brought the reimagined Multiplayer map Crash, the Ground War map Port, Special Ops Experiences – Grounded, Pitch Black, and Operation Just Reward, and the game mode Reinforced alongside a robust Battle Pass that features two free weapons. 

Two new Featured Bundles arrive in the Modern Warfare store on December 10: ‘Cold Blood’ and ‘Mother Russia.’

The ‘Cold Blood’ bundle is fit for a cold and hardened Operator. Pick it up to look fierce in the ‘Winter Warrior’ skin for Golem take out the competition with the ‘White Out’ handgun weapon blueprint, or take some time with the ‘Precious Commodity’ watch, and more. Get this collection of chill items to look the part of a stone-cold killer. 

Say “Dasvidaniya” to your foes and channel the menacing force of the Red State with the ‘Mother Russia’ Featured Bundle. The bundle includes the ‘Commuter’ Operator skin for Yegor to blend in with the locals, the ‘Old Country’ LMG weapon blueprint for high damage eliminations, the “Brass Tactics” Finishing Move to pummel your enemies, and more. Get the ‘Mother Russia’ bundle for themed good from the Motherland. 

This week more game modes will be added to Multiplayer both for a limited time. Infected, a game mode where players fight to survive, and Gunfight O.S.P., a variant of the intense 2v2 Gunfight mode where players must scavenge for weaponry, will both be live on December 10 until December 18. 

On Tuesday, December 10 at 4PM PST, watch 20 hand-picked Twitch streamers as they face off in a fast-paced, skill-based showcase with $250,000 in prize money and supreme bragging rights at stake! It all kicks off on the Call of Duty Twitch channel. Be there! 

In further support of its #HireHonor campaign  and celebrating its 10th year of putting veterans back to work in meaningful jobs, the first ever CODE Bowl is coming! The action begins at 10AM PST on Friday, December 13 on the Call of Duty Twitch channel, and features eight teams, each captained by a popular streamer along with members of the U.S. Army esports team. Each team includes a featured streamer and two active duty service members, and each streamer will raise donations on their channels on behalf of the Call of Duty Endowment.

The following is a Patch Notes Summary. Updates are from 12/3/2019:

General

·      Added Rammaza and Gun Runner to TDM 20 and DOM 20

·      Riot Shield Fixes

            Tuning to how the Riot Shield protects against Grenades when thrown at the player’s feet

            Reduced explosive damage within certain ranges

·      Fixed an issue where players stuck inside the Infantry Assault Vehicle would not take damage from Thermite

Missions and Challenges

·      Fixed and updated descriptions to the following:

            “Close and Personal”

            “Perks of the Job”

            “Bloodthirsty Killer”

·      Fix for Officer Challenge completion notifications not appearing on screen

Killstreaks

·      Improved effectiveness of FMJ on Killstreaks

·      Fix for the Cluster Streak dealing damage inconsistently when targeting a VTOL jet

PC/ Keyboard and Mouse

·      Fixed an issue where players would not be able to mantle while strafing with keyboard and mouse

·      Increased the turn-rate when aiming with a tank

·      Fixed an issue that forced shaders to be fully re-complied after each title update

Call of Duty®: Mobile

Prepare for the Winter Holiday Festival in Call of Duty: Mobile!

The Winter Holiday Festival features multiple tasks and objectives players can complete to earn points and redeem for rewards. The Battle Royale mode has been updated for the event, so check it out to get some Holiday cheer!

On December 6, the Gravity Spikes event began giving players the opportunity to earn a new Operator Skill – the Gravity Spikes. Players must complete objectives to earn the skill and following the conclusion of the event on December 15, the Gravity Spikes will be available in the Credit section of the Store.

Two new Crates are now available – the M4 Black Gold Weapon Crate and the Ghost Plasma Crate. The Crates are available for a limited time starting on December 6. The M4 – Black Gold is available until December 26, and the Ghost – Plasma is available until December 26. Head to the store to check them out and see if you want to add it these to your Call of Duty: Mobile inventory. Also look for the Locus – Cosmos weapon coming on December 13!

Want to earn a new camo for a weapon in Call of Duty: Mobile? Play with friends in the Team Up Challenge. For the challenge, simply play with your friends in different game modes, and you can earn the Jack Frost camo for the M21 EBR. The event runs until December 19, so jump in, play with friends, and earn that camo. 

Lastly, a new limited-time game mode arrives on December 13 – One Shot, One Kill. A twist on the popular party game mode, One in the Chamber, this Free-For-All game gives players three bullets at the start with the goal of getting 20 kills to claim victory. Around the Franchise: Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4

This week, Black Ops 4 is bringing back Stick and Stones in a Double XP Featured Playlist! Plus, Zombies players can travel back to the sinking of the Titanic with the Chaos crew in “Voyage of Despair”.

And starting Tuesday, Treyarch is lifting the limit on the Pick-a-Weapon Bribe in Blackjack’s Shop for a limited time, allowing players to earn as many Black Market weapons as they’d like in exchange for 50 Reserve Cases per Bribe. Choose from a collection of 48 Reserve weapons, including MKII Weapons, Signature Weapons, Mastercrafts, and base weapon variants.
