When the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launched a little over two weeks ago, we knew that fans would be excited. However, we had no idea just HOW excited they would be, and we have been overwhelmed by the amount of love everyone has been showing to the spinning, orange marsupial. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that appears to be true for Crash! We owe a huge thank you to all of you for your support and love for the game.
But launching the game was just the tip of the iceberg! Today at San Diego Comic-Con in the Crash Bandicoot Then and Now panel, we had some big announcements. And here they are!
First, the Stormy Ascent level from the original Crash Bandicoot was designed by the team at Naughty Dog but not included in the final game. Until now! This legendary level has been remastered and updated by Vicarious Visions, and better yet, it’s a free download! Starting today at 12pm Pacific, and for the next 30 days, players can head to the PlayStation Store and add a brand-new boost to your Crash Bandicoot experience!
Also, Dark Horse Comics confirmed the upcoming release of The Crash Bandicoot Files: How Willy the Wombat Sparked Marsupial Mania. Debuting in March 2018, this 150-page hardcover book contains the original design document for Crash Bandicoot, along with original concept illustrations and insight into how Crash Bandicoot became the iconic character he is today.
Additionally, Loot Crate confirmed today that they are celebrating one of the greatest treasure hunts in gaming history with Bandicoot Booty not available anywhere else – an exclusive Crash Bandicoot t-shirt. Featured in their July Loot Gaming crate is a shirt straight out of N. Sanity Beach that features postcard style art with fan-favorite Aku Aku, wishing you were there. Fans can get one by ordering a crate before 9pm on July 27 at lootcrate.com/gaming.
But that’s not all! To round out the Crash Bandicoot Comic-Con experience, fans can now share the craziness of Crash with CrashMoji, the new emoji and sticker app. Fans can type messages directly into the app to share as emojis, or take crazy selfies with the Sticker Cam and then add Crash, Aku Aku, and more to their photos and then message them without having to cut and paste. CrashMoji is available this week on the App Store or on the Google Play Store.
Whew! Now that’s a lot of Crash! If you haven’t jumped into the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy yet, now’s the perfect time. After all, you’ve got a free bonus level and a brand-new app waiting for you. See you on the N. Sanity Beach!
