Need to know when the Multiplayer Beta drops? Will there be a separate Blackout Beta? We’ve got your six. Details inside!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released worldwide on October 12, but eager fans will have a chance to spend some early hands-on time with Multiplayer in August through the Private Multiplayer Beta, and with Blackout through a Private Blackout Beta coming in September.

When and How to Play the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Multiplayer Beta* on Console

PlayStation 4 owners will get to play first with an exclusive dedicated weekend that will take place from 10am PT on Friday, August 3 until 10am PT on Monday, August 6.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to experience the Beta during the second weekend, which will take place from 10am PT Friday, August 10 until 10am PT on Monday, August 13.

To gain access to the console Beta, you will need a Private Beta key that will be provided when pre-ordering the game from select retailers. Players that pre-order digitally through the PlayStation® Store or Xbox Store will automatically be registered to participate in the Beta.

PC players will have their own PC Open Beta** which will take place from 10am PT Saturday, August 11 until 10am PT Monday, August 13. All you will need is a Battle.net account to access it, but those who pre-purchase through Battle.net  will also get a full extra day – beginning at 10am PT on Friday, August 10 – to play with their friends and fellow community members.

Blackout Beta in September

The Black Ops universe comes to life in this new battle royale experience, and will have its own Beta coming in September, first on PS4, with more details to come as we get closer to the end of summer. For now, just be ready to experience something never-before-seen in Call of Duty history.
