Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Crash Bandicoot series, this October, the beloved character returns with a special guest-starring role in Skylanders Imaginators, followed by a collection of remastered classic Crash Bandicoot games in 2017.

The news first broke at PlayStation’s E3 2016 press conference, where fans and viewers around the world got a first glimpse at Crash Bandicoot’s upcoming role in the Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack Featuring Crash Bandicoot, available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 at launch. As part of the special Crash Bandicoot version of Skylanders Imaginators, Crash will return as one of the game’s new class of characters, Senseis, and as a brand new toy. But Crash’s role in Skylanders Imaginators extends far beyond aesthetics; the developers are bringing his distinctive personality and signature moves to the experience as well. Fans will be able to jump on TNT Crates to blow them up, collect a Bazooka Crate to get a rocket launcher, use a jetpack to attack from high in the air, or employ his classic spinning attack. As a Sensei character, Crash will have his own Sky-Chi attack where he uses his yo-yo to yank enemies into a spin attack. Jess Harnell will also be reprising his role as Crash in Skylanders Imaginators Featuring Crash Bandicoot.

Alongside Crash’s role in Skylanders Imaginators, today, it was also announced today that next year, we plan to launch a remastered collection of the first three Crash Bandicoot games—Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped —for PlayStation 4.

Skylanders Imaginators, including the Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack Featuring Crash Bandicoot, will arrive beginning October 16 in North America. For more on Skylanders Imaginators, check out our announcement post and be sure to follow @Activision and @SkylandersGame on Twitter.

Can we also get the ability to play the original games on our Vita?  People in Europe have been able to do that for ages, but in North America, we're not able to due to licensiing issues.

A bit of goodwill in this regard from Activsion's part would strongly motivate me to buy the new remasters...

Because Crash Bandicoot Is In Skylanders Does It 100% Mean That Crash Bandicoot Is Not Getting A New Game On Its Own. As Spyro Went Into Skylanders It Hasn't Had A New Game On Its Own Just Yet.So Am Thinking Is Crash Ruled Out For A New Game. If Not Then May You Please Make A New Crash Game Without A Remaster Like A New Game Named Like "Crash's Vengeance" Because I Know For A Fact Lots Of People Are Going To Buy It Just Look At The People's Reaction Of Crash's Return On YouTube About E3.

Please Release A New Crash Bandicoot Game Very Soon Without A Remaster Or Skylanders Edition.

Thanks For Reading.

I would like to request that the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy please be released on Nintendo NX and XBOX ONE as well.

I can't wait for the remastered games to come out but I wish we could play the original trilogy on ps vita and ps tv.

Or natelawrence, buy a ps4?? it would kind of be an insult to those PlayStation fans that have played it since day one if this was brought to any other console...

Activision, are all of the original voice actors going to be in this? Think it was Brendan O'Brien as Crash, Mel Winkler for Aku Aku, Clancy Brown for Cortex and Uka Uka, Michael Ensign as N Tropy, etc.

OMG!!! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY AFTER WAITING SOOO LONG! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU SO MUCH FOR BRINGING HIM BACK! you have no idea how long i waited for him to come back! jesus christ!
I also look forward to this remake/remaster crash game..

BUT i know the game will be beautiful with their levels and stuff but the MOST important thing is.. crash design is what matter the most because KEEP IN MIND  we have annoying naughty dog crash fanboys who complains like babies & they are from the old school and so use to see crash orginal design that they complain about almost anything about it when its not made from naughty dog themselves & when the design isn't right as they wanted.

So hopefully Vicarious Visions(Which i love thier CNK/XS/N tranced 2 games so much) wont let the crash fans down.

Yes, Remakes of the original trilogy!

I have been waiting for 8 years for a new game or any sort of revival, I think this one does it, though I was skeptical of Crash being in Skylanders, but its all good, can't wait to see the Remastered footage/screenshots Smiley Tongue

@teamcrashbandicoot share your love dude!! I've only ever played the Naughty Dog Crash games myself, and whilst I love the original look of him, I've gotta keep in mind that this is being made 20 years later, so he's probably bound to change a bit! And what better producer could you have than Vicarious Visions if not Naughty Dog? Sure they will knock it out of the ballpark! Their GBA games were great!

Can you please consider doing the same for the PS1 Spyro trilogy aswell? In his classic design? Maybe you can release a classic style Spyro figure in Skylanders and have them explain how the classic Spyro and the Spyro in Skylanders are different Spyro's and the classic Spyro is a distant cousin to Skylanders Spyro but coincidentally share the same name. That would be so cool! This would mean so much to Spyro fans and many of them might even have a change in heart in the Skylanders franchise.

Note that the classic Spyro was voiced by Tom Kenny, who also voices Stink Bomb and Sheild Shredder.

Thank you.
