Fans have been hungry to hear more about the next installment in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, and today, I’m happy to say the wait is over. This year, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with everything you’ve come to love and expect from the series: combo-driven gameplay, open levels where anything can be can be used for tricks, and the ability to play as some of skateboarding’s biggest names or as your own customized character. The roster includes the likes of the Birdman himself, Tony Hawk, as well as Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, Ishod Wair, Leticia Bufoni, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds, and Lizzie Armanto

However, we’re also introducing new gameplay elements, like power-ups, projectiles, and seamless online multiplayer, where players can drop in and out of sessions with friends and others around the world. You can complete missions, unlock new content, and level up online or offline, or you can go head-to-head with other players to compete for the highest scores. In addition to the included levels, you can also build your own skateparks and share them with the community.

Alongside the current-gen versions, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will also be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We’ll be sharing more information, including the release dates for the various versions, soon, so stay tuned to the Activision Games Blog and be sure to follow @Activision and @TonyHawkGames on Twitter and Tony Hawk Games on Facebook.

I used to play it offline with my bro. The graphics back then seemed awesome. It was fun. I'm hoping to break tradition and get several games this year instead of one or two. And this would be a great game for the Mrs. and I to play together. But I do have to say, the stills are not really impressive - especially for a big name like Tony Hawk in 2015.

But we'll see. Definitely interested.
