Get ready to take to the land, sea, and sky — Skylanders SuperChargers is now available in North America. Developed by the team at Vicarious Visions, SuperChargers builds upon the toys-to-life experience pioneered by Skylanders with the introduction of vehicles. Alongside the series’ unique on-foot gameplay, Skylanders SuperChargers lets players take control of a wide array of land, sea, and sky vehicles as they speed through Skylands and battle new enemies. What’s more, fans can collect a range of awesome new vehicle toys that come to life both in-game and in the real world, with many featuring moving parts like spinning wheels and propellers.

Skylanders SuperChargers also feature two of Nintendo’s iconic characters reimagined as Skylanders—Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser—available exclusively in starter packs for Nintendo Wii U, Wii, and 3DS. Revealed at E3, Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser feature their own signature special attacks and vehicles.

Skylanders SuperChargers also introduces an all-new racing mode, allowing players to engage in a little friendly competition either in two-player local multiplayer or four-player online competitive multiplayer. Players will have to out-drive and use vehicle-based attacks to map-based traps to best the competition. In addition to the racing maps available in Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Packs, fans can also pick up Racing Action Packs, which include three toys—a SuperCharger, vehicle, and a villain trophy, which unlocks two exclusive racing tracks.

Skylanders SuperChargers is available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, Wii, and 3DS in North America on September 20, Australia and New Zealand on September 23, and September 25 in Europe.  Then, on October 25, Skylanders SuperChargers will arrive for iPad, and for the first time ever, iPhone, iPad touch, and the new Apple TV when it launches.

Very disappointed that we lost the ability to name the figurines.  My kids really loved naming them, it gave them a uniqueness.
