This Titan helmet is a great option for anyone who likes to play as a Striker. It has the following exotic perks “kills with Storm Fist immediately trigger health regeneration. Respawn with full melee energy. Gain a second melee charge.” It can also be used to good effect with the “Stoke the Forge” perk selected. With this, getting a kill with Sunstrike instantly recharges your melee. Since the helmet gives you an extra melee charge, you’ve got two tries to get that kill and keep your charge active. I recommend this helmet for strikes where there are lots of small adds — like the thrall in the Sunless Cell or for whenever the Brawler modifier is active.
This Hunter chest piece is specific to the Blade Dancer class. Its exotic perks are “Reduced Arc damage from minions of the Darkness. Arc grenades and Arc Blade recharge faster.” Not only that, but once it’s fully leveled up it also has the “Reduces incoming Arc Burn damage” perk. This sounds like a go-to accessory for strikes with the Arc Burn modifier as it will protect you from the buff, but still allow you to dish out the damage. Keep in mind that the bad guy’s melee attacks still hurt you just as much, so consider using the “Razor’s Edge” perk to get a bit more distance on your Arc Blade attacks.
A chest piece for Warlocks, I’ve found this to be a really useful exotic for PVP when running Voidwalker. The exotic perk “Spawn with full grenade and Axion Bolt gains an extra seeker” can be a major boon for the Crucible. Having an extra seeker often makes the difference between damaging or dispatching an enemy. In fact, this chest is a good choice for a PVP build when running Sunsinger or Stormcaller as well… you don’t get the extra seeker, but you do get a grenade when you spawn — and that is pretty rad.
The 4th Horseman
This shotgun has moments of brilliance… and those moments are usually related to when the Arc Burn and Specialist modifiers are in effect. With a five round magazine and the ability to fire in full auto mode, this gun can dish out some serious damage in a very short amount of time and as you probably guessed, it deals Arc damage. So if you were going up against, say Arc-shielded, Yellow-Bar Knights this could be a great way to take down their shields and eliminate them without pausing to reload. Keep in mind the gun has a very short range and pulls pretty hard — so you’ll need to be real close in order to take advantage of its speed in firing.
That wraps it up! All these pieces of armor can be had for 13 strange coins while the gun will set you back 17 coins. Happy hunting, guardians!
