Destiny: The Taken King — Introducing Sparrow Racing

Get ready for an all-new limited time event.

In just the last year and a half, the Destiny universe has rapidly grown and evolved. From the massive extension of the Destiny story with The Taken King to recurring and limited time events like Iron Banner, Trial of Osiris, and recently, the Festival of the Lost—Bungie continues to create new experiences for Destiny’s community of more than 25 million registered players. Today at PlayStation Experience, Activision and Bungie announced an all-new limited time event coming to Destiny that will put players’ racing skills to the test with Sparrow Racing League.

Beginning December 8, players will be able to compete in intense six-player races across two new tracks—one set on Mars and the other set on Venus—each with their own challenging hazards. Sparrow Racing is available for anyone who owns Destiny: The Taken King and will be live for three weeks. During that time, players will have a chance to earn rewards unique to Sparrow Racing, including racing suits for their Guardian and new sparrows. Fans on PlayStation platforms will have access to a timed exclusive Sparrow Racing quest, which rewards a unique Sparrow. What’s more, when the Iron Banner returns, PlayStation players will also be able to earn a timed exclusive set of all-new Iron Banner gear.

Alongside the launch of Sparrow Racing League on December 8, the Eververse Trading Company will undergo a refresh to include a new collection of emotes, new sparrows, and a special Sparrow Racing Bounty Book.
