Ready your Fireteam, because the Destiny beta is now available on PlayStation platforms.

At long last, the Destiny beta has arrived. At 10am PST, the Bungie and Activision opened the doors to pre-order customers on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Players can create multiple Guardians, play new story missions, fight along friends in the Devil's Lair, or go head-to-head in the Crucible. Stuck at work and can't join in on the fun? Don't worry, we've got you covered with a several days of live streams by key figures from the community. Head over to Bungie.net for the full schedule.

To aid you in your journey as a beta Guardian, Bungie has released its official Destiny companion app for iOS, Android, and browsers. The app provides detailed stats from your most recent matches, tracks your progress through major milestones in the Grimoire, and includes an interactive 3D render of your in-game Guardian.

As a reminder, the beta for PS4 and PS3 will last until July 21st, when the beta goes offline for maintenance. When it returns on July 23rd, Xbox One and Xbox 360 users will gain access. The beta will end for all platforms on July 27th, but be sure to log on at or after 2pm PST on July 26th to unlock an exclusive emblem for your Guardian at the time of the game's retail release.
