Call of Duty: Black Ops 3: New Taunts, Melee Weapons, Specialist Gear, and More Added to the Black Market

Plus, we’re introducing new ways to secure Supply Drops and Vials of Liquid Divinium.

Last week, Treyarch provided a closer look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Black Market* and how players can unlock new gear to show off their personality in multiplayer. Building upon the myriad of items already available, we’re excited to share that new items have arrived in the Black Market, including new melee weapons, Specialist outfits, taunts, weapon camos, cosmetic attachments, and more.

Now available, the refresh to the Black Market introduces three new melee weapons available through Supply Drops: the Butterfly Knife, Wrench, and Brass Knuckles. Each functions like the Combat Knife and can be equipped as your secondary weapon, but offer their own look and feel. The team at Treyarch has also added an array of new taunts, new sets of bodies and head variants for each Specialist, as well as Epic rarity camo, and a wealth of new Calling Cards on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Best of all, the entire range of new items can be obtained by simply playing the game and trading the Cryptokeys you earn for Supply Drops in the Black Market. However, for fans that want to secure additional Supply Drops in multiplayer or Vials of Liquid Divinium in zombies, we’re introducing Call of Duty Points—a new optional virtual currency for players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Fans can now purchase Call of Duty Points and use them to acquire Rare Supply Drops in Black Ops 3.

For zombies fans, Call of Duty Points can also be used to purchase Vials of Liquid Divinium otherwise earned by playing Shadows of Evil or The Giant Bonus Map, which can be used to create Gobblegums in Dr. Monty’s Factory and aid in the fight against the undead hordes. Items contained in Supply Drops and Gobblegums remain the same, regardless of whether they’re unlocked with Cryptokeys, Vials of Liquid Divinium, or Call of Duty Points. Additionally, Call of Duty Points can be used for other in-game content, such as the Extra Slots pack.

To kick things off, for a limited time, players that log in on their PS4, Xbox One, or PC will receive a one-time gift of 200 Call of Duty Points to use in Black Ops 3.**

*Black Market, character customization, and Call of Duty Points available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC only. Game features and performance vary by platform. Visit callofduty.com/blackops3/features for more information.

**For a limited time only, while supplies last.  Activision may discontinue this offer at any time.  To receive 200 Call of Duty Points offer, play Black Ops 3 online on PS4, Xbox One, or PC during offer period.

Don't you realize you devalue items in the game if you make them obtainable by microtransactions? There needs to be awesome camos and achievement showing items that can't just be bought day one of owning the game. Give us COD Veterans more ways to show we've got experience under our belt.

please fix the spawns i always get spawn killed every day!  via xbox one.... please and thank you for maybe looking into it...

looking forward to it, great job

I have enjoied COD (MW) for nine years with many online adult friends. The last three (Ghost, Advanced, Black Ops3) is awful. Why can't you have all three go in different unique directions, have one stick to the 9 year tradition, one being wherever your going with this Buck Rogers (Halo)  jet packs, laser beam guns & walking walls garbage.  My network on PS4 or Xbox1 of friends haven't liked your last three years of releases and are beginning to leave and try other titles OUTSIDE the COD family. COD needs to ask themselves who is spending the money and who has followed the series to keep up more with their friends as of late than the awful designed poor games with the last three Ghost, Advanced, Black Ops heading in the same odd direction. Sad to see.
